Executive Protection in California.

Discreet protective coverage, secure transportation, and security driver services across Los Angeles, San Francisco, the Bay Area, San Diego, and Orange County — under California's longest continuously held DAW license.

California Coverage

Where the work actually happens.

California is one of DAW's most established markets. The firm's BSIS PPO licensure (Number 11088) is held under DAW Security directly — not subcontracted, not relabeled, and held under continuous chain of custody. The license number itself is a low one, reflecting the regulatory tenure of the operating entity behind it.

What that means in practice: when a family office in Los Angeles, a venture firm in Palo Alto, or a corporate counsel in San Francisco calls, we are not assembling something. The agents, the vehicles, the relationships with venues and properties, and the working knowledge of California's regulatory specifics are already in place.

Coverage extends from southern California's residential corridors and private aviation hubs through the Bay Area's tech and finance ecosystem, into the Central Coast, Napa, and Sacramento.

California Licensing

A licensed California operator — not a referred one.

In California, executive protection and protective driving services require licensure under the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS). DAW Security holds an active Private Patrol Operator license — PPO 11088 — held without interruption.

That license is held by us. It is not subcontracted from a partner, not 'white-labeled,' and not produced on request from a registry. When a family office, attorney, or corporate counsel verifies the license, they are verifying our license, attached to our agents, on our payroll, in our vehicles.

Every California-deployed agent is registered, vetted, and trained against the standards we set internally — which exceed the state minimum without exception.

California Questions

Answers specific to California.

Are armed agents permitted in California?

Yes, where licensed and authorized. California requires agents performing armed protective services to hold a BSIS firearm permit ('exposed firearms' qualification) and to be working under a licensed PPO — both of which apply to DAW. Most California family-office engagements proceed unarmed; armed posture is an option, not a default, and is confirmed in writing before deployment.

Do you provide secure transportation from LAX, SFO, SAN, and BUR?

Yes. Private aviation pickups (Van Nuys, Hayward, Oakland, Santa Monica) are routine. Commercial arrivals at Los Angeles International, San Francisco International, San Diego International, John Wayne, Burbank, and Hollywood Burbank are coordinated with vetted drivers and protective coverage as the engagement requires.

Can you support multi-day, multi-city California itineraries?

Yes — a single point of contact handles LA, the Bay Area, San Diego, and intermediate stops on one engagement. Vehicles and agents coordinate without re-introducing the principal to a new vendor at each stop. This is the configuration we run most often for corporate and family-office clients.

Do you operate in residential communities like Atherton, Bel Air, or Hidden Hills?

Yes. We have working familiarity with the residential corridors most likely to host family-office and executive principals. Coverage is coordinated with private community security and household staff, and is sized to disappear into the routine of the residence.
